Winner: Gist Limited
Gist evidenced their passion for training people, by signing the government’s Skills Pledge. The structured training programme Gist offers, delivered through ‘Gist People Services’, includes management trainee schemes, ‘People Panels’, succession planning, as well as National Vocational, and Skills for Life, Qualifications.
The judging panel were particularly impressed by Gist signing the government’s Skills Pledge in January 2009, and by their introduction of ‘People Panels’ for every support function of the business. The ‘panels’, designed to assess individual levels of skill and capability, help to create a certainty about everyone’s purpose and their contribution to the business.
